Ivan Beetlestone 5th dan (Chief Instructor)

Ivan Beetlestone 5th dan (Chief Instructor)

Ivan has been involved in martial arts for over 30 years, starting in his teenage years with judo and boxing training he progressed to karate where he became very well known with his skills in wado-ryu traditional style karate, and trained for many years winning many trophies but most of all respect from fellow students.

Ivan has always been a moderate man never condemning other martial artists, his Japanese trainer taught him the importance of respect which is a very important part of Ace teaching policies, Ivan combines this with confidence training, his martial arts skills now include kickboxing, sport karate and weapons training. Ivan started his first martial arts club 25 years ago at a local social club where he trained students for little if any fee, realising that not everyone could afford to pay to learn these skills, this again is something Ivan is still passionate about which is why Ace martial arts offers true value for money, it is one of the best equipped martial arts centres at really affordable prices.

Ivan treats everyone as an individual and although Ace has a very large membership we feel sure every one of our students knows that they will all be known to Ivan as a person not just a student. He has years of experience to pass on to his students now that his competing days have come to an end, although if he thought he could get away with it with his wife I’m sure he would still compete.
